Black Pearl Forge

A Modern Artist using Age-Old Methods to Create Handcrafted Works of Art for You.
I can't remember a time when I didn't think like a blacksmith.

Fascinated by fire, growing up with a "do-it-yourself" father, and feeling a need to always be prepared to defend myself while on quests deep in the wilderness of our farm, I began constructing swords from discarded window frames and black tape when I was five or six.

As my interest and abilities grew, I was intrigued by metal and driven to learn how to shape it.
I built crude forges out of found parts until I got my hands on a real one. That was several classes, forges, and years ago. Since then I've made knives (my real love), jewelry, sculptures, tools, and a few swords (because let's face it ~ you never know when a particularly ferocious dragon might show up. ;)

Taking a unassuming piece of steel and turning it into a tool or an artistic piece is both rewarding and fulfilling to me.
When you have a hammer, everything is a nail. When you have a blacksmith, everything is anything you want it to be.
